Every year the CSCB Scholarship Committee receives many outstanding applications from candidates across the country and this year was no exception.
The Guy Graveline Scholarship is awarded to Lashwanth Nandaluru, son of Ramanjaneyulu Nandaluru from A & A Contract Customs Brokers (Surrey BC). Lashwanth will be entering the University of British Columbia to pursue a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Lashwanth graduated high school with a 97 GPA, taking advanced placement classes in mathematics and science. He balanced his school obligations while working a part time job and volunteering in his community at food banks and soup kitchens. Lashwanth’s passion for his chosen field of study is readily apparent; from describing how to put people on Mars to envisioning air taxis, he clearly loves the field. We wish Lashwanth much success in reaching for the stars!
The CSCB National Scholarship is awarded to Aytal Everstov, son of Irina Moskvitina from Universal Logistics (Thornhill ON). Aytal will be studying Health Science at McMaster University, the first step towards fulfilling his dream to become a hematologist-oncologist. Aytal completed high school with a 95 GPA and won four awards from his school, including the Brian Collier Heart of a Hero Award (awarded for supporting his school community through mentorship activities). Aytal has participated in Canadian Senior Mathematics Contest and Euclid Contest, the Science Club, the Student Council and the Model United Nations Club. He was subsequently chosen to represent his school at the Simcoe County United Nations Contest. He is also interested in politics, volunteering at the office of his local Member of Parliament and his town council office.

The CSCB Undergraduate Scholarship is awarded to Emily Bergeron, daughter of Dianne Bergeron of Pacific Customs Brokers (Surrey BC). Emily is pursuing her bachelor degree at the University of the Fraser Valley and dreams of becoming a kindergarten teacher. Emily has maintained a 3.9 GPA and balanced working to fund her post secondary education. Emily has balanced school, work and volunteering hours at a kindergarten, often at the expense of pursuing leisure activities. She is clearly motivated to achieve her degree and be the first in her family to do so.
"I feel so honored and grateful to have been selected as the recipient of the CSCB Undergraduate Scholarship. I want to thank the CSCB for their contribution to my education; this will help me greatly in my final year of my Bachelor's degree."
