Preparation for Job Action

Posted on August 6, 2021

Given the pending Job Action by CBSA employees represented by the Public Service Alliance of Canada and the Customs and Immigration Union, the CSCB will be collecting and sharing with members, relevant information, as we receive it.

  1. To ensure that you receive this information as it is posted, you may wish to review your email notification preferences on our website. In addition to the daily summary email, you can also subscribe to receive individual emails, from specific topics/categories, as they are posted on our website throughout the day. You may do so from My Profile > Email Preferences. Updates regarding the potential job action will be posted under the “Release – System Updates/Outages & Delays at the Border” topic. This option is available to employees of member firms and preferred business clients.

  2. To keep informed about what is happening at Canada’s busiest border crossings, you also may want to make use of CBSA’s border wait time website:

  1. And don’t forget about CBSA’s E-Longroom initiative, not yet available everywhere but still useful. Here are links to additional information.

  2. And finally, it would be greatly appreciated by all members if you would please share with us any news that you may come across about what is happening at your local CBSA offices. You can send it to [email protected].
