Updates to Road to CARM

Road to CARM has been updated on April 20, 2023, as follows:

REFERENCE	UPDATE
Section 4.3 CAD Submission – V-Type Entries – Question Updated	The CSCB has asked the CBSA to confirm after what period of time EDI transmission for V-Type entries will be evaluated - after 6 months, 1 year, 5 years? As of April 20th, 2023, the CSCB is still advocating for this change.
Section 9.2 Statement of Account (SOA) - New STOP	If a customs broker has been authorized to receive an importer SOA via EDI today, they will continue to receive the importer SOA post CARM Release 2. It is important to note that the importer will have the option of enrolling in and/or authorizing the EDI SOA distribution in the CARM Client Portal post CARM R2.
Section 12. 0 Reporting - New STOP	Post CARM R2, it will be possible to request data reports and historical reports directly in the CARM Client Portal (CCP). Please note that if the requested report only includes post-CARM R2 transactions, the request can be made and received directly on the CCP, but if the request includes pre-CARM R2 transactions, the CCP will direct you to follow the same procedure that is currently used for requesting a FIRM report today whereby the request is submitted via email to [email protected]; by FAX to 403- 292-4200; or by mail to: Canada Border Services Agency, 220 – 4 Avenue SE, Room 430, Calgary, AB T2G 4X3.
