Canada Border Services Agency’s VIA Air Cargo Port of Entry is seeking concurrence on a proposed 2015 holiday schedule. We would like feedback from the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers members that utilize our facility for commercial clearances. As you are aware, we are typically not closed for four consecutive days, as per Customs D-Memorandum D-1-2-1; however, we propose for this 2015 holiday season, Air Cargo open for extended hours for days leading up to December 24^th and close to the public from December 25^th-29^th.  This is similar to what was done last holiday season and was well received by those seeking commercial clearance for goods prior to Christmas Day. As per local policy, service for perishable and time sensitive goods will remain available for clearance at the main terminal when the Air Cargo office is closed.

The planned hours of operation would be the following:

Monday, December 21:  08:00 - 19:00
Tuesday, December 22: 08:00 - 19:00
Wednesday, December 23:  08:00 - 19:00
Thursday, December 24: 0800 – 16:30 (regular hours)
Friday, December 25: closed
Saturday, December 26: closed
Sunday, December 27: closed
Monday, December 28: closed 

Air Cargo will resume normal hours of operation as of Tuesday, December 29 from 08:00 to 16:30.
