Addendum to Message concerning Elimination of Textiles and Clothing Import Permits Requirements

The following message is from Juudy Scrimger at the EICB.

It is business as usual for exports of clothing and textiles. This change [sent yesterday - please see the article on our web site, at http://www.cscb.ca/archive/archive-preview.cfm?ID=10215] is only affecting imports of clothing and textiles, leaving only those clothing and textile products that are eligible for a tariff preference level benefit established under the NAFTA(US/Mexico), CCFTA (Chile) and CCRFTA (Costa Rica) requiring import permits for clothing and textiles. The other question that we are being asked is by entry or shipment date. This will be by entry date 01 April 2005.
