Additional NEXUS lane opens at Queenston-Lewiston Bridge

The following is excerpted from 23 May 2013 news release by CBSA.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced the opening of an additional NEXUS lane at the Queenston-Lewiston bridge, providing more efficient border clearance for low-risk travellers entering Canada. The existing NEXUS lane is open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., seven days a week. The new second lane announced today will be used to process NEXUS members during high-volume periods and used as a regular lane at other times.

This second lane at the Queenston-Lewiston port of entry is the sixth NEXUS lane to officially open as part of a commitment under the Canada-United States Beyond the Border Action Plan (Action Plan). ..

Currently, there are over 845,000 NEXUS members who expedite their travel across the Canada-U.S. border at designated land, air and marine locations, up from just over 601,000 in November 2011
