Aldergrove POE - Redevelopment Project

November 3, 2015

The following notice is from Daniela Evans, District Director, CBSA, Pacific Region.

This notification is to inform you the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Pacific Region will implement a cessation of commercial operations for all medium and large commercial vehicles (i.e. tractor-trailers and semi-trailers) from November 9th to 22nd, 2015 at the Aldergrove Port of Entry (POE). This short-term cessation is to accommodate current construction efforts at the Aldergrove POE. During this period, medium and large commercial vehicles will be requested to take the following alternate routes: the Pacific Highway Commercial crossing or the Abbotsford-Huntingdon Commercial crossing. Commercial importers in small vehicles (automobiles and pick-up trucks) will be able to access the Aldergrove facility through regular traffic lanes during this time.

Effective November 23, 2015, the CBSA Aldergrove Commercial facility and staff will commence full service commercial operations server days a week from 8:00 a.m. to midnight, including statutory holidays. This new service delivery is part of CBSA's major capital investment funding in modernizing POEs in the Cascade Gateway region.

The Agency remains committed to working with you to ensure the free flow of legitimate goods and people across the border. We are confident this enhancement will provide the flexibility necessary to address ongoing demands for cross-border services. The efficient movement of goods and people through our secure border is not only vital for trade, but helps promote Canada as an international destination for leisure and business travelers alike.
