Angela Collins to Lead Canada’s Customs Brokers!

October 14, 2016

The following is a press release about the election of a new CSCB Chair of the Board that we have shared with various trade publications.

The Canadian Society of Customs Brokers (CSCB) is pleased to announce a newly elected Chair of the Board of Directors, Ms. Angela Collins of Willson International Ltd.

Ms. Collins was elected on September 26 at the Board of Directors meeting during the 2016 CSCB National Conference in Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON.

"I am both honoured and excited about being elected to the position of Chair. At the same time, I am also very aware of the challenges that lie ahead of our industry. I look forward to working with Carol West and her team at the CSCB national office, and also working alongside my fellow Directors as we continue our advocacy work and educational development on behalf of our members," said Collins after the election.

A senior customs and logistics professional with over 38 years of experience, Ms. Collins has spent over 28 of those years rising through the ranks at Willson International, from Manager through Director to now Vice President of Canadian and U.S. Brokerage Operations & Regulatory Affairs.

Ms. Collins holds the CTCS (Certified Trade Compliance Specialist) designation, as well as CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) designations in both Canada and the U.S. She also has been awarded professional customs broker status by the Canada Border Services Agency.

Ms. Collins has been an active leader within the CSCB for many years, first as an elected member of the Toronto Region chapter and since 2011 as part of the National Board of Directors. In her capacity as a Director, she has chaired the Education and Professional Development and the Governance committees, and most recently served as First Vice Chair.

As CSCB Chair, Ms. Collins will also represent Canada on the Board of Directors of International Federation of Customs Brokers Associations (IFCBA).
