CBSA’s Customs Internet Gateway experienced a significant failure on March 15.  Although some DNs made it through to clients, many did not.  CBSA decided to suspend production of the DNs until the issue was resolved.  Yesterday, they resumed production and transmission of DNs from past dates.  It also was reported that this morning’s DN went out without problems.

CBSA has recognized the payment collection challenges that these delays have created for customs brokers.  Therefore, there will be an extension of the payment date.  That date will be communicated to us by end of day on March 24.

If any of you are still missing DNs or have incomplete DNs relating to dates from March 15 onward, please advise the CARM mailbox immediately and use “Missing DN” or “Incomplete DN” with the related date in the subject line.
