Canadian Goods Returning

Please be advised that goods regulated by CFIA and classified in headings 9813 and 9814 cannot be transmitted via EDI. For Canadian goods returning that are classified in chapters 1 - 97, CFIA has added the import requirements to the AIRS tool and items in chapters 1-97 can be transmitted via EDI. Under headings 9813 and 9814, AIRS will state; "Please note that CFIA regulated goods declared under chapter 98 must be submitted using paper. Transaction(s) will be rejected if EDI is used." 

Until further notice, please select the OGD requirement box on the CBSAexception lead sheet for CFIA regulated commodities declared in headings9813 and 9814.
