CARM Consultations – Critical Information for All Customs Brokers

August 15, 2018

As announced in our previous message, CBSA Assessment and Revenue Management (CARM) Consultations Begin – Member Input Will Be Critical, the CSCB has accepted a lead role in the CARM Customs Broker Sub-working group (CBSWG), the group that will be bringing forward the interests of Canadian customs brokers during the CARM consultations.

To help us communicate both more widely and more interactively, we have created a special section on the CSCB website, CARM Consultations, that will provide you with all relevant CARM information.

Here is what will be provided:

  • the work of the CBSA Trade Chain Partners’ Working Group (TCPWG) will be available to CSCB customs broker members, non-member customs brokers, and the public;
  • the work of the CBSA Customs Broker Sub-working Group (CBSWG) will be available to CSCB customs broker members and non-member customs brokers. Non-member customs brokers are requested to register to gain access;
  • the work of the CSCB Internal Advisory Panel, which will include specific questions posed to members and intended to support our advocacy on your behalf, will be available to CSCB customs broker members only.

The documents posted will include meeting documents and presentation materials, email articles, a timeline, FAQs, technical documents, and recordings of webinars. We will also solicit feedback from you through the CARM discussion forum.

Please log in to see more than just the public content, and to be able to participate in the discussions.

We look forward to working with you on this transformational project!
