CBSA Message (TCC17-059) Clients are not receiving RNS ANS Declaration Accepted notifications following a change submission
Clients Affected: All clients that receive RNS (Release Notification System) messages.
On Sunday March 5, 2017, the CBSA released further eManifest functionality to external clients. An issue has been identified that is impacting clients who submit changes to pre-arrival release requests.
Following a submission of a pre-arrival release request change, clients are not receiving an RNS ANS Declaration Accepted notification even though the related cargo report has been submitted.
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) recognizes the impact this issue has on clients and is actively working on a system resolution. Until a resolution is implemented, customs brokers and importers, if you wish to inquire about the status of your transaction, you can contact the Technical Commercial Client Unit (TCCU) at 1-888-957-7224 option 1, or you may contact the eManifest Regional Client Support (ERECS) group if your transaction is destined to one of the following ports:

Carriers, if you use the receipt of the Declaration Accepted Notice for logistical purposes (e.g. to load your truck or to trigger the submission of your ACI cargo), the CBSA has made available the “Document Not on File Notice” to both EDI and Portal clients which can be used in a similar manner as the Declaration Accepted Notice.
