CBSA Message (TCC17-226) - Closure of ICECORP Logistic Inc.

November 27, 2017

CBSA has issued the following notice regarding the bankruptcy of ICECORP Logistic Inc. At this time, there is no official information available regarding the status of the Customs accounts of ICECORP’s former clients. As soon as more information is provided to us, we will advise members.

Over the past two years, we have been working with our surety partners, Mclean-Hallmark Insurance Group and the Guarantee Company of North America, to better understand the current risk environment. In addition to the Compliance Tool Kit posted on the CSCB website and presentations at our regional and national conferences, we also have planned a webinar for Dec. 7, during which our surety partners and Marc Seguin from CBSA will review the important role of importer bonds in risk management and CBSA’s new payments policy.
