CBSA Message (TCC18-122) - REMINDER Message to all clients using AT&T Communication Lines

December 10, 2018

Clients Affected: All clients using AT&T Communication Lines

The CBSA’s Information Science and Technology Branch (ISTB) technical team has advised that due to the older technology of X.400 communication lines as well as their associated costs, the CBSA will be discontinuing support for the AT&T communication lines on February 28, 2019. This date is final.

The ISTB has generated a list of clients who have used this type of communication line within the last year, and the Technical Commercial Client Unit (TCCU) has reached out individually to the affected clients.

However, should there be any clients who still have an AT&T line but who may not have used it in the last year, they are also urged to contact the TCCU as soon as possible to advise whether the AT&T line is still needed or not. If it is, they are to provide the TCCU with a transition date and their transition plans to another CBSA-approved service provider from the following list: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/eservices/sp-fs/service-eng.html

Should you have any questions on this matter, please contact the TCCU via email at [email protected]

Action Required: If you are a client who still uses an AT&T line, please contact the TCCU as soon as possible to advise of your transition plan.
