CBSA Message (TCC19-085) – Mandatory Sub-Location Code
Clients Affected: Air Carriers, Marine Carriers, and Service Providers
Under Advanced Commercial Information (ACI) and eManifest initiatives, carriers must provide electronic cargo and conveyance data to the CBSA in advance of arriving at the Canadian border.
Effective August 25, 2019, clients will receive a reject notice if the sub-location code, related to the port of destination, is not provided on the air or marine cargo transmission. This new error code pertains to the sub-location code:
