Certain Carbon Steel Welded Pipe, Notice of Review of Final Determination of Dumping

July 28, 2017

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has today initiated a review of the final determination of dumping made with respect to certain carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from Chinese Taipei. The review follows recommendations and rulings from the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) Dispute Settlement Body which found certain aspects of Canada’s Special Import Measures Act and the CBSA’s final determination of dumping with respect to certain carbon steel welded pipe from Chinese Taipei to be inconsistent with the WTO Anti-Dumping Agreement. The CBSA will render its revised final decisions by September 29, 2017.

More information on the CBSA’s review of the final determination may be found on CBSA’s website.
