Certain Concrete Reinforcing Bar, Notice of Initiation of An Investigation

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated an investigation on August 19, 2016, under the Special Import Measures Act respecting the alleged injurious dumping of certain concrete reinforcing bar originating in or exported from the Republic of Belarus, Chinese Taipei, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, Japan, the Portuguese Republic and the Kingdom of Spain. The investigation follows a complaint filed by ArcelorMittal Long Products Canada, g.p. (Contrecoeur, QC), AltaSteel Ltd. (Edmonton, AB) and Gerdau Ameristeel Corporation (Whitby, Ontario).
