Certain Liquid Dielectric Transformers, Notice of Expiry Review Investigation

July 26, 2017

On July 25, 2017, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT), pursuant to subsection 76.03(3) of the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA), initiated an expiry review of its order made on May 31, 2016, in Interim Review No. RD-2013-003, continuing, without amendment, its finding made on November 20, 2012, in Inquiry No. NQ-2012-001, concerning the dumping of certain liquid dielectric transformers originating in or exported from the Republic of Korea.

As a result of the CITT’s expiry review, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has today initiated an expiry review investigation to determine, pursuant to paragraph 76.03(7)(a) of SIMA, whether the expiry of the order is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of the subject goods.

The CBSA will make a determination no later than December 22, 2017, and will issue a Statement of Reasons by January 5, 2018.

This notice is available on the CBSA website.
