Certain Thermoelectric Containers, Statement of Reasons

Concerning an expiry review determination under paragraph 76.03(7)(a) of the Special Import Measures Act respecting the dumping and subsidizing of certain thermoelectric containers from China.

Decision

On March 29, 2019, pursuant to paragraph 76.03(7)(a) of the Special Import Measures Act, the Canada Border Services Agency determined that the expiry of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal’s order made on December 9, 2013, in Expiry Review No. RR-2012-004, continuing, without amendment, its finding made on December 11, 2008, in Inquiry No. NQ-2008-002:

  1. is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of certain thermoelectric containers originating in or exported from China; and
  2. is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of subsidizing of certain thermoelectric containers originating in or exported from China.
