Consultation on Environment and Climate Change Canada Proposed Regulatory Amendments
The CSCB has received communication from Environment and Climate Change Canada that proposed amendments to the Export of Substances on the Export Control List Regulations and the Export Control List have been published in the Part 1 of the Canada Gazette.
The proposed amendments would enable Canada to prohibit exports of elemental mercury with certain exemptions. Additionally, they would reduce the prior notification of export period from 30 days to 15 days.
