Customs Brokerage Licence Application

April 12, 2017

According to D1-8-1, application packages, including Form L53, Application for a Customs Brokers Licence, are submitted to the  chief officer of CBSA where the applicant intends to conduct business.

CBSA has now advised that to expedite application processing, it is recommended that applicants email a copy of their application to the HQ - Commercial Registration Unit (CRU) [email protected]  for review prior to sending it to the region. The CRU will examine the application to ensure it is complete and advise the client where to send the application. This will help avoid delays in the application process due to missing information.

Questions can be sent to the CSCB at [email protected]
