Don’t miss your opportunity to participate in the CBSA CERS Pilot Project! Deadline to volunteer is May 9th

May 8, 2019

Don’t miss your opportunity to participate!  CBSA is looking for exporters and custom service providers to participate in a pilot project to test the new export reporting system, CERS – Canadian Export Reporting System.

CERS is a web-based reporting system that will replace CAED, B13As, and Summary Reporting. G7 EDI reporting is not included in this new system and will remain as a valid reporting method.

CAED and B13As are expected to sunset on July 1st, 2020. Please note, only Canadian Export Classification HS8 will be accepted in CERS.

Pilot project volunteers will be asked to participate in conference calls in the summer/fall of 2019, and begin live production testing in January until mid February 2020. CBSA is looking to achieve a cross-section of company types (Exporters and CSPs), reporting methods (CAED, B13A’s, DLM, and SRP), transaction volumes, and number of Exporter/CSP relationships. Participation is limited to 18 volunteers, however those not selected to participate in the initial pilot will be given preference in the onboarding process.

Those wishing to participate have until May 9th, 2019 to provide the following information to Shelley Gares at the CSCB:
