The purpose of this communication is to advise that the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) completed the eManifest Deployment (D) 5A system update on March 5, 2017.

This deployment represents a significant milestone towards the full implementation of eManifest and includes important internal and external system changes.

From an internal perspective, this deployment brings system enhancements to CBSA risk assessment capabilities.

For Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) clients, the update introduces changes to the Release Notification System (RNS) that align legacy notices with eManifest Notices.  For highway carrier and freight forwarder eManifest Portal clients, the update delivers access to new notices and statuses that provide greater insight into the status of shipments. 

The bulletins below were distributed to EDI and eManifest Portal clients last week and provide detailed information about the changes.
