Emerald Ash Borer policy directive and related documents

Please note that the CFIA Plant Protection Policy Directive D-03-08, Phytosanitary Requirements to Prevent the Introduction Into and Spread Within Canada of the Emerald Ash Borer, Agrilus planipennis (Fairmaire), has been revised to remove the requirement for a Compliance Form for Transport of Regulated Articles. Furthermore, the section entitled "Product Examination" has been replaced by "Product Inspection" and now applies to both domestic movement and import. A new section entitled "Preservation of origin" has been added to allow facilities to move ash material out of a regulated area based on a non regulated origin. Finally, the directive was also updated to include some administrative changes. The revised directive is available from the CFIA web site at the following address:
