End may be near for wheat board fight

Matt Sawyer still wears a 2007 T-shirt commemorating the day farmers were able to market their own barley -- although it's no more than a collector's item.

Moves by the then-minority Conservative government to remove the grain from the Canadian Wheat Board monopoly never materialized, nor did a legislative attempt the following year.
