Export Traffic Originating in Chicago or Detroit

To improve the flow of US export traffic from CN's Chicago and Detroit Intermodal terminals only, CN will be structuring train departures from these two terminals to the Port of Montreal around vessel sailing dates.

As a result, customers with export traffic from Chicago or Detroit will be entitled to deliver their export traffic (loaded or empty) to CN's Chicago or Detroit Intermodal Terminals on the day of reservation, or any of the five preceeding days.

This means that if a reservation is unavailable for your preferred day, you may book a reservation for up to 5 days in the future and deliver it to the Chicago or Detroit terminals on your preferred day.

Please note that the system will not permit you to book a reservation past the cut-off day for your sailing.
