Industrial Action Affects Montréal Docks

The province of Québec experienced widespread industrial action yesterday (11 December), and further protests have been promised by a variety of labour unions.

Today, all seven piers are closed for business according to the “Montreal Gazette”. Yesterday protestors blocked the main entrance to the Port of Montreal all day, stopping container traffic. Bridges and tunnels were blocked throughout the city.

We will keep members updated on this situation.
