Laminate Flooring, Expiry No. LE-2009-001

IN THE MATTER OF a notice of expiry, pursuant to subsection 76.03(2) of the Special Import Measures Act, of the finding made by the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, on June 16, 2005, in Inquiry No. NQ-2004-006, concerning:

LAMINATE FLOORING ORIGINATING IN OR EXPORTED FROM THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA AND FRANCE

On August 11, 2009, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal issued Notice of Expiry No. LE-2009-001 relating to the aforementioned finding. Persons or governments requesting or opposing the initiation of an expiry review of this finding were requested to file written submissions containing relevant information, opinions and arguments with the Secretary of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal no later than August 31, 2009, and replies by September 15, 2009.

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal received no submissions in support of an expiry review and a continuation of the finding. Consequently, no expiry review will be initiated.

Pursuant to the Special Import Measures Act, a finding of injury or threat of injury and the associated special protection in the form of anti-dumping or countervailing duties expire five years from the date of the finding, unless an expiry review has been initiated.

In light of the foregoing, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal hereby gives notice that, pursuant to paragraph 76.03(1)(b) of the Special Import Measures Act, the finding made by the Canadian International Trade Tribunal on June 16, 2005, in Inquiry No. NQ-2004-006 will expire on June 15, 2010.
