Mark your calendars - Toronto Region Education Seminar on Customs Valuation

October 7, 2016

The CSCB Toronto Region would like to invite you to an education seminar on Customs Valuation - Back to Basics on Transaction Value, on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Four Points by Sheraton Toronto Airport.

Importers and customs brokers cannot afford to miscalculate the customs value or value for duty on imports into Canada. Incorrect calculation of the duties and taxes owing on imported goods can result in penalties under the Administrative Monetary Penalty System as well as retroactive duty assessments. Canadian companies that import goods from global purchasing affiliates - in particular - need to exercise care.

This seminar, let by Jaime Seidner, PwC, Partner, Indirect Tax, Customs and International Trade, will outline a proactive approach that will help you mitigate or avoid custom value errors and enable you to understand priority issues in customs.

Participants will be awarded 5 CCS points/CTCS credits.

Mark your calendars and plan to attend!

Registration will open soon.
