Message from CN regarding Reporting of Exported Goods Regulations, Canada Border Services Agency Requirements
The following message was issued by CN’s Customer Service Centre.
Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is implementing changes to the Reporting of Exported Goods Regulations effecting rail shipments from:(1) Canada to Mexico; and (2) Canada to US Ocean ports for export overseas.
Under the new regulations the exporter needs to include in their rail bill of lading the proof of report number assigned by CBSA for the shipment.
