CFIA has released a new fact sheet to help raise awareness about the invasive pest plant Giant reed (Arundo donax L.).

Giant reed is regulated as a pest plant under the Plant Protection Act due to the significant risk it poses to Canada's plant resource base. The importation, use and movement of Giant reed plants and its plant parts is prohibited in Canada.
