Nominate a CBSA Star of 2016 - Deadline This Friday!

March 8, 2017

Every year, the CSCB CBSA Stars Program recognizes Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) staff across the country for doing their job with knowledge and goodwill and making a positive difference to the trade community every day. The attitude of cooperation is especially important at the time of challenging CBSA program changes, such as ARL or eManifest, that have affected both our community and CBSA staff.

In the last four years of the program, CSCB members responded enthusiastically and nominated almost 90 CBSA employees held in high esteem for their knowledge, fairness and service excellence. If you missed the recognition and celebration of last year’s CBSA Stars, here is an article describing each recipient and the CBSA Stars ceremonies held across the country.

We’d like your help in finding the CBSA Stars of 2016. Please tell us about the CBSA person or people whose contribution you would like to acknowledge, and why. The contribution can be a single situation which made a difference to you or your client, or it can be a general attitude of cooperation and professionalism. The person can be someone who works at a local port, a regional office, or at national headquarters. The only conditions are that the person’s position is below the EX or senior management level, and that they did not receive the award in previous years.

We look forward to hearing your stories! Please provide those by March 10th, 2017.
