Notification on the revised MHMOP Ch 4: Annex O: Policy on the control of E. coli 0157:H7/NM Contamination in Raw Beef Products

The important highlights of the revised version are as follows:

  • Section 5.3: Exemption from testing based on an alternative control program that will ensure untested precursor materials will not be used for FRGBP at any level of distribution.
  • Section 6.1: Clarification of the requirements for shipping of untested raw beef products
  • Appendix 2 c: Update of the confirmation methodology requirements
  • Revised policy will be effective on the date of publication.
  • Operators of registered establishments will be required to reassess and realign their HACCP System including all pertinent process controls, within 30 days of the publication of this revised policy.

Please replace Annex O in your Manual of Procedures, Chapter 4.
