Port trouble in Vancouver Possible this weekend

We thank Brian O’Connell of ISL Customs Brokers for the following information.

The CSCB has learned that there could be delays at Vancouver’s ports this weekend.

The union representing port security staff is planning information sessions at Ballantyne Pier and Canada Place beginning Friday morning, 16 July. The workers say Securiguard is taking over operations as of July 19.

Union reps say any traffic coming in and out of the port, including cruise ships, might be affected.
