            The Department of Finance seeks members’ views on a request to add a tariff line breakout to subheading No. 5106.10 in order to provide for 100 per cent wool yarns for use in the manufacture of berets and other soft felt headgear. The proposed breakout item would read as follows:

 

5106.10.10     -- for use in the manufacture of soft felt headgear

 

The products that would fall under the new tariff item are currently classified under tariff item N.

5106.10.00 and are dutiable at a rate of eight per cent under the MFN Tariff.
