Softwood Lumber U.S. Trade Remedy Proceedings – Template letters and associated instructions for requesting an administrative review are now available

January 16, 2019

The following message is from Global Affairs Canada.

To customs brokers representing softwood lumber companies, we would be grateful for forwarding of this notice to your clients.

Please note that Global Affairs Canada has finalized template letters and instructions interested companies may use for filing their administrative review requests.

You will find the template letters and associated instructions on our dedicated softwood lumber Frequently Asked Questions page. In the Administrative Reviews section, please click on the expandable links titled “Step 1”, “Step 2” and “Step 3”. This page is regularly updated.

As mentioned previously, companies should print and retain a copy of the confirmation of filing on ACCESS and must serve a copy of the request on the petitioner (the U.S. Lumber Coalition).

Companies that are not already registered on ACCESS may file their ACCESS registration, maintain a copy of the registration receipt and complete the template letters so they are ready to be filed when possible.

As a reminder, please feel free to reach out to us directly by e-mail with any questions or comments at [email protected].

Thank you,
