Update on domestic low-level presence policy development

The Government of Canada has updated its proposed domestic policy that has been developed to manage the low-level presence of genetically-modified (GM) crops while preventing unnecessary trade disruptions.

Low-level presence refers to the unintended presence, at low levels, of GM crops which are not yet approved and detected in shipments of imported grain, food or feed at the Canadian border.
