Updated List of Products Requiring [US] Federal Contractor Certification as to Child Labor

The [US] Department of Labor’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs has issued an updated list of products that it preliminarily believes might have been mined, produced or manufactured by forced or indentured child labor. …
 
Executive Order 13126 of June 1999 prohibits federal agencies from acquiring products produced by forced or indentured child labor. In 2001, the DOL published a list of products that it had reason to believe might be produced in this manner….
 
The current list is available here. The DOL is now proposing to update this list by adding the following products. Comments are invited on this proposed action, as well as whether products already on the list are designated with appropriate specificity and what, if any, alternative designations might be better.
 
            • bamboo from Burma
            • beans (green, soy, yellow) from Burma
            • Brazil nuts/chestnuts from Bolivia
            • bricks from Burma, China, India, Nepal and Pakistan
            • carpets from India, Nepal and Pakistan
            • charcoal from Brazil
            • coal from Pakistan
            • coca (stimulant plant) from Colombia
            • cocoa from Cote d’Ivoire and Nigeria
            • coffee from Cote d’Ivoire
