Members may be aware that the U.S. has increased the de minimis value to $800 US, coming into force this week.

The CSCB posted an article on January 13 that the federal government may be considering an increase to the current Canadian de minimis of $20 CAD. The CSCB has been in touch with the Retail Council of Canada and CBSA regarding whether they feel that a change will be included in this month's federal budget. We are watching these developments and will advise as soon as we have more information.
