USTR Confirms Costa Rica Eligibility for Retroactive Duty Treatment

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative has formally declared that Costa Rica is eligible for the retroactive duty treatment available under DR-CAFTA for textile and apparel goods imported from that country. As a result, U.S. Customs and Border Protection can now begin processing applications for refunds of duties paid on such goods entered on or after Jan. 1, 2004, and before Jan. 1, 2009.
