B2 Processing Statistics

June 7, 2010

The CBSA has provided the 2009-2010 annual statistics for B2 processing times. These statistics are available here: http://www.cscb.ca/listinfo/CBCS_2009-2010_Annual Statistics.pdf

CBSA has also provided the following commentary:

As the table demonstrates, there has been a 34% overall decrease in B2 processing time, with five of the six regions substantially decreasing the time it takes to process an adjustment. Atlantic Region has decreased their B2 processing time by 10% as they continue to address the B2 backlog. A further decrease is expected once the backlog has been cleared up.

As the implementation of centralized B2 processing only took place April 1, 2010, it is expected that these increased efficiencies will continue as the new procedures are implemented.

Comments regarding B2 processing times, as well as the quality of decision rendered on fast-tracked B2s, can be sent to the CSCB at [email protected].
