1999 Departmental Consolidation of the Customs Tariff
Following are excerpts from the following letter, sent to CSCB President Carol West by Mr. Tom MacDonald, Acting Manager, Directorate Co-ordination and Publishing, Trade Incentives Programs at Revenue Canada. Members who wish to order diskettes of the 1999 Tariff provided by Revenue Canada to the CSCB are asked to contact the CSCB national office. Members with questions concerning the Customs Tariff should contact Mr. MacDonald at 613-941-2146.
Revenue Canada has provided the CSCB with an extract from the Customs Tariff data base reflecting the schedule to the 1999 Departmental Consolidation of the Customs Tariff. This extract was produced in MS Accss, version 2.0.
Identical information is also available on the Revenue Canada web site, as follows:
1. Go to www.rc.gc.ca/vco
2. Double click on the words Virtual Customs Office
3. When you reach the graphic, select News
4. At Document Type, select Customs Tariff from the list, and
5. Follow the on-screen directions.
This is a large file and the time it takes to download will depend upon the speed of the receiving modem... MS Access software is still needed to utilize this extract from the web site.
