Rate of duty correction.

The purpose of this letter is to advise you of an error which has been identified in the printed version of the Departmental Consolidation of the 1999 Customs Tariff.

The rate of duty under the Canada-Israel Agreement Tariff for the following tariff item numbers was incorrectly listed as "Free" as of January 1, 1999:

6112.41.00,
6112.49.00, and
6211.12.90

The correct rate of duty of these items should have been 7%. This rate, which came into effect on July 1, 1998, will remain in effect until July 1, 1999, when it is scheduled to reduce to "Free". Corrected pages for the consolidation will be printed and distributed as soon as possible. The files of the Customs Commercial System have been adjusted to correct the error.
