SIMA Determination re Cold-Reduced Flat-Rolled Carbon Steel

On 29 April 1999 Revenue Canada announced the preliminary determinating of dumping with respect to certain cold-reduced, flat-rolled sheet products of carbon steel (including high-strength low-alloy steel), in coils or cut lengths (not painted, clad, plated or coated), in widths up to and including 80 inches (2,032 mm) and in thicknesses from 0.014 inches to 0.142 inches (0.35 mm to 3.61 mm) inclusive, originating in or exported from Argentina, Belgium, New Zealand, the Russian Federation, the Slovak Republic, Spain and Turkey.

The preliminary results of the investigation indicate that imports of subject cold-rolled steel sheet products from the countries named above are being dumped and that this dumping has caused injury to the Canadian industry.
