Appointment of New Ambassador to the World Trade Organization

Prime Minister Chrétien announced the appointment of the Honourable Sergio Marchi as Permanent Representative and Ambassador of Canada to the Office of the United Nations and to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva.

Latterly, Mr. Marchi was Minister of International Trade.
