CTACC Operational Issues Reviewed

In an attempt to provide a more effective forum for the discussion of operational Customs issues, a CTACC sub-committee meeting was held in Ottawa on April 19th. There has been some delay in forwarding information about this meeting to CSCB members: the CCRA e-mail system was shut down by the "love bug" virus, and then our own CSCB server failed.

Subjects discussed at the meeting include:

- update on elimination of 2ITN carrier codes
- ETA - release prior to authorized time frames
- obstacles to EDI use
- regional policy on client services
- statistical export reporting

Members wishing to receive minutes of this meeting should contact the national office via e-mail at [email protected], or via fax at 613-562-3548.

We are in the process of enhancing the CSCB's capability to manage this kind of information and make it more readily accessible and user-friendly to members. Watch for an update soon! In the meantime, our server is still not up and running, so please bear with us.
