Proposed Changes to Customs Bond Suspended

As members are aware, the CSCB is working with CCRA officials and with our surety business partner, Moore McLean, the Surety Association of Canada and the Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters, to clarify and resolve concerns related to proposed changes to Customs Bonds (Customs Notice N-382). It has been decided to suspend indefinitely the implementation of the measures outlined in the customs notice, as we work with CCRA to fully discuss concerns and explore options. In the meantime, members are reminded to use the most recent version of the Customs Bond, which is dated 2000.
