Customs Notice 418 - Mandatory RNS for Warehouse Operators

The CCRA has advised that July 1, 2002, remains the implementation date for Customs Notice 418. This notice states that sufferance warehouse operators may not release goods from their warehouse until they are in receipt of one of the following:

(i) the original or facsimile customs-stamped delivery authority copy of the cargo control document; or (ii) an RNS message received directly from the system as an RNS participant; or (iii) an RNS message received from a dedicated service provider such as a customs broker.
