Port of Montreal box traffic grows

The Port of Montreal¹s container traffic has been pulling ahead of 2001 levels since March, with the eight-month figures up 4.5 percent compared to year-ago data.

Between January and August, Montreal handled 686,398 TEUs versus 656,557 TEUs in the first eight months of 2001….

More than half of Montreal¹s container volume is generated by shipments to and from the U.S. Midwest.
