Clarification of "Other like Goods"

The Canada Customs and Revenue Agency (CCRA) intends to clarify the meaning of the term "other like goods" found in paragraph 61(1) (c) of the Customs Act and Departmental Memorandum D11-6-3.

In addition, the timeframes referenced in the memorandum with respect to the eligible periods and times for the acceptance of claims are being further defined.

The CCRA has provided a draft Customs Notice that addresses and clarifies the CCRA's position, and have asked the CSCB members for comment. Any comments concerning this draft Customs Notice may be forward to the CSCB at [email protected] and must be received by March 18, 2003.
